I have had my husband's YDNA tested for haplogroups, by FamilyTreeDNA/National Geographic. He is R1a1. Has anyone else done this -- or might be interested in doing it? It's a fascinating field, and while it doesn't help with last 1000 years or so (at least) it does give glimpses into long-ago origins. And it would be information about how many Traugott lines there really might be.
