I am still looking for my Emma Trask. I found a census record in Pittston, Maine with an Asa Trask and then another census record which has Asa Trask wife Mary and daughter Emma. This Asa could have been a shipright according to the census records.

It can be very difficult to prove anyone was American Indian because they lived in fear of their lives. They would quite often pass for white if they could or say they were french canadian. It can be a difficult thing to find the evidence.
