Retire TRASK (son of Retire TRASK + Elizabeth POOLE)
married
Lydia FOSTER (dau of Isaac FOSTER + Lydia BACON)

************************************************************************
Thompson, Geauga County, Ohio

"Pioneer Women of the Western Reserve", p.292 (Thompson):

"In 1811 Mrs. Retire Trask, with a large family, came also from Massachusetts and settled near. She did not live long, the perilous journey and hardships of pioneer life being too great for her feeble constitution. She was the first woman who died in the town."

We are interested in a descendant list for Retire + Lydia Foster Trask.

We have the following:

Rev. J. L. Merrill. 1869. History of Acworth, N.H. p.275
"RETIRE TRASK of Beverly s. in Acworth,
1793, rem. to Ohio, 1810, m. Lydia Foster (see Foster family)--ch., I., Retire. II., Benjamin. III., Lydia. IV., Hannah. V. Amy."

We also have a list of children from applications for DAR membership. I will post that next.

*We are especially interested in descendants of their son Retire Trask who married Asenith Bartlett.

Thank you,
