Wurster), Rita (Bob) Schwarz and Lavonne (late Roland) Burkhart; fond uncle of Wayne (Linda) Kahila, Roger (Jan) Kahila, Howard Allen Wurster Sr., Joyce Ratliff, Susan (Bruce) Modica, and Geri (Bob) Heim; 18 great-grandnieces and nephews; 15 great-great-grandnieces and nephews; and his beloved Michigan family. Preceded in death by his first wife, Carole, nee Burkhart. Board member of the 20th Century Railroad Club; Des Plaines Crime Stoppers; and the Des Plaine Lunkerbusters Fishing Club. 30 year employee of the Chicago Tribune and 66 year member of the International Association of Machinists. Visitation Tuesday, 3 to 9 p.m., at the Oehler Funeral Home Des Plaines Chapel, 2099 Miner St. (Rte. 14/Northwest Hwy. At Rand Rd.), where service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment Ridgewood Cemetery.
