This fellow is believed to have been from or thru the island of Barbados, West Indies. I find interesting, that there was a Dr. John Trent, the son of Indian Trader, William Trent (Jr.) of NJ & PA who also bought land in SC from the same Henry Gibbs of Charleston. He located in Camden, Kershaw District, but he only had on son who lived to marry and he moved to NC and on to Fayette Co., TN where he died........ I deeply suspect, NO PROOF, that the NJ Trents, the VA Trents and the Barbados Trents were all connected at some point back in England and Scotland.........
