Stephen Rice and Helena Trant are in my Rice line. Does anyone have information about whether a Trant emigrated with Richard Rice to VA in the 1600s? Richard Rice (b. 1628 Dingle, Kerry, Ireland) died in Northumberland County VA in 1681, but it looks like his son, Richard, was born in Northumberland Co. VA in 1657.

I'm looking to see if Richard (b. 1628) was the emigrant ancestor or whether he came as a young child to VA with his father, also Richard Rice (b. 1588).

From what I know, the Trant and Rice families lived near each other in Kerry...perhaps some made the journey together to VA.

Any leads about the first Trant in VA would be appreciated.

Grace
