Hi Laurel, I'll check my Transue genealogy files to see what I can find out about your line, and how they might be connected. It's a line I've never heard about, although I believe all Transues/Transeaus/Transous is this country are descendants of Abraham Transu II and his wife, Marie Magdalene Long (Lang). My Transues lived in the same area as yours did, so hopefully we can find out how they are related. Abraham and Marie Magdalene Long had twelve children: All Transues in America are descendents of these twelve children. 1) Elias 2) Abraham III 3) John Philip 4)Jacob 5) Melchoir 6) John 7) Anthony 8) Henry 9) Isaac 10) Mary Magdalene 11) Catherine 12) Peter I think that your Isaac, who married Sarah, may be the son of Isaac Transu (# 9 above) and his wife, Christina Schneider. Isaac married Christina on July 23, 1799. There was an Issac baptised on July 20, 1800. This would coincide with the birth of your Isaac who married Sarah. I will do some further research over the weekend, to see if I can confirm this. Nancy (Transue) Armstrong Notify Administrator about this message?
