I have an Issac Transue also. I know nothing of him though, because my line is from his sister, Sylvania Catharine Transue. She was born 1856 in Williams Twp., Northampton Co., PA. She died 1923. Her parents were Jeremiah Transue (b 1827, d 1895); and Mary A. Steckel (b 1826, d 1917).
Jeremiah and Mary A. had two other children: Ada A. (1857-1865), and John S. (1859-1859). The children are identified as the daughter and son of Jeremiah and Mary A. Transue on their gravestone. They are burried at the Old Williams Twp Church according to "Historical Notes by Hon. William Beidleman, Easton, PA, From Easton Express March 28, 1920"
My point here, is that there are also two graves mentioned in that source for an Isaac Transue (Feb 21, 1800-Dec. 14, 1869) and Sarah Transue, Wife of Isaac (Nov. 27,1803-Nov. 18, 1869). I'm guessing the two children of Jeremiah and Mary were the grandchildren of Isaac and Sarah. Reasoning being Jeremiah and Mary were burried in Raubsville Cemetary and not Old Williams Church. I don't know if the two children are burried next to Isaac and Sarah though, but ages would make them correct to be the grandparents.
There is also a grave for a Joseph Transue, Son of Isaac and Sarah, (May 2, 1832- Nov. 30, 1854)
I'm wondering if you have any connections here or additional information. I'd like to know if this Isaac is the father of my Jeremiah, and if so who the father of this Isaac is?
