You mention Native American mother to your Leanna. That is interesting because my husband is a Grube. Sylvania (Transue) Grube was his great grandmother. Her father was Jeremiah Transue who fought in the PA 153 in the battle of Gettysburg.
Anyway, my husband's Aunt Anna sent me a letter telling about her as a child visiting an Aunt Sally, the sister of Lewis Grube (Sylvania's husband). This Aunt Sally was Aunt Anna's grandfather's sister.

On this vist there was a Native American looking girl there who was a family member and Aunt Anna was told that this girl had Native American blood in her.

Don't know if there is a connection or how accurate Aunt Anna's story was. It took place when she was a child and told me when she was in her late 70s.
