Hello Mike,

Are you getting the answers you want on your Transue line? I descend from Johann Abraham Transu and his wife. I believe they had twelve children, one being Jacob Transue. I think Jacob was born about 1759, and was the father of Isaac Transue. Isaac married Hannah Brotzman or Protzman, and they had my great-great grandfather, Johannes Shutz Transu, born in 1823. He went by John S. Transue, and served with the 56th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry in our Civil War. The name was spelled Transu in the early records. Another Transue married and moved to North Carolina, and spelled the name Transou. If you want, you may e-mail me direct at Lass53@aol.com.
