Dear Eugenia,

Since I posted my original message, I have more information on Sophia Transue. You are right, her parents were Isaac Transue and Christina Fehr (or Fahr).

Information on her parents from genealogy.com, family history archives:

Pennsylvania German Church Records, 1729 - 1870
Records of Williams Township Congregation, Evangelical Lutheran Church, Saucon, Northampton County, PA
p. 91
1815
Isaac Transue, Sophia, b. Oct. 9; Christ. Fehr
Marg.;bapt. Dec 3;

She was baptised on Dec 3, 1815. Her sponsor was Christian Fehr.

She is buried in the Prospect Cemetery, Prospect, Marion County, Ohio and according to cemetery records (I haven't visited in person yet) she died 5 Oct 1894.

She married Thomas Smith (Schmidt) probably in Pennsylvania, but I don't have the place yet. He was (probably) the son of George Schmidt and Anna Maria Stoneback (Steinbach).

Send me email if you'd like more of what I have.

- Heather
