You might check out the message I left on the Trammel surname page, a reply to the message on Elizabeth Trammel of Peel, Arkansas. Because that my great-grandmother Martha Lucinda Sabiatha Hazel Jane Trammel, born around 1860 in Fort Smith, was named for her many aunts, we know we have Martha Trammel in our tree at least as far back as the early 19th Century. Did any of your folks settle in Arkansas?
