Sorry but the Nicholas Trammel who died in the Alamo was a single man...only way around that is on the wrong side of the sheet. :> I thought he was our Nicholas but other data suggests he was Daniel's son. Daniel was murdered as an old man of 80+ years; by a criminal he was keeping at his house for the sheriff back in 1839 Arkansas. Seems I recall the Arkansas Gazette death notice gives this same Daniel Trammel claim to forging the Trammell Trace. Texas Republic Claims has some documents that indicate Nicholas came down from Arkansas (included Oklahoma to Colorado at the time) to meet Moses Austin to help locate and survey for him and Nicholas is included in the Old 300.
