Texas descendants of James Trainer b. 1730 Dublin
My first posting in 1999 was a story my grandmother told me long ago. Since then I have found references on the internet to one particular Trainer family line that begins with James Trainer, b. abt 1730 in Dublin. He emigrated from Ireland to South Carolina and fought in the Kings Mountain Battle of the Revolutionary War. He reportedly had two sons, one named James M., and the other not yet known. The son James M, b.1770 in Georgia, married Ann Brice, fathered six children around the turn of the century and fought in the War of 1812. The family lived in Georgia, Illinois and finally settled in Texas. Two sons (David S. and William N.) were born around 1808. The birthdate and place of the other four children, (Ann, Mary, James and Caroline) are not yet known. David S. married Rebecca Martin and had 9 kids and William N. married Dinah Hannah and had 10 kids and all settled in and around the counties of Caldwell, Blanco, Comal and Bexar in Texas. My great, great grandfather James (or George James) Trainer b. 1824, married Cora Vincent abt 1868. His descendants(including me) were raised in and around that same part of Texas. I am looking for evidence of a connection.
