Hi Adam: My great-great grandfather, John Trainor/Traynor was supposedly from County Meath. He married Catharine Dougherty and raised 5 children. Info from 1850 census indicates John was born about 1800, Catharine born about 1814. Children were Margaret (b - 1837) have a cousin in Schulkill Haven, PA who has researched Margaret as she is her g-g-grandmother, Catherine (b - 1839), Charles (b-1841), Elizabeth (b-1845) and my g-g-grandfather John J. Traynor who was married to MaryAnn (Harley?) from Wales. John & MaryAnn according to 1900 census had 9 children, 7 living and we can account for 6 of the 7. MaryAnn immigrated to US in 1869. Don't have any proof of County Meath origin other than an Uncle visited family there during WWII. Still doing lots of research when time permits.
