Hi Gail, The Peter Trale marriage to Margaret Gill in 1663 has been of interest to me as well. The Gills were among Marylands earliest settlers at St. Maries and there were at least two brothers residing near the Trails of Baltimore County before John Traill died there about 1690. I'm not sure if you know that Peter Trale of Devon had a son named James born at Bridford Sept. 7, 1679. Unless you know more about this James, he would have to be another candidate for James Trayle Sr. of Delaware. The name Peter carried on at America with Peter Trayel who was born about 1771. He was one of the first settlers of the Ohio valley and residents of Plain Township,Stark County,Ohio. He died there about 1845.
