Dear Gail just to nail it all down here are my notes on the witnesses for the childrens baptisms i. James, b. Abt. 1605, Radernie; m. (1) Isobel Peibles, Abt. 1623; m. (2) Elspeth Ponstoun, 8 Apr 1638, St Andrews and St. Leonards. James and John were witnesses to David's daughter Helen's baptism in 1641 in St Andrews ii. William, b. 1609, Radernie; m. (1) Isobel Russell, 31 Oct 1637, Ceres, Fife; b. Abt. 1617; d. Bef. 1640; m. (2) Christian Myniman, 23 Apr 1640, Ceres, Fife & St Andrews & St Leonards; b. Abt. 1619, St Andrews; m. (3) Beatrix Ness, 13 Feb 1646/47, Ceres, Fife; b. Abt. 1624. He had 13 known children William Traill and David Carstairs were the witnesses for the baptism at Ceres of John's daughter Beatrix named after Williams wife Beatrix Ness in 1649 iii. Andrew, b. Abt. 1611, Radernie. witness to baptism of Janet daughter of John Traill and Janet Crummie in Ceres 1643 iv. David, b. Abt. 1613, Radernie; m. Janet Couper, 24 May 1640, St Andrews & St Leonards, Fife. Two children were registered in St Andrews, James and Helen v. John, b. Abt. 1615 Radernie; m. Janet Crumbie, 31 Aug 1642, Ceres, Fife; b. Abt. 1621. they had 5 children Janet 1643, John 1645, Beatrix 1649, Thomas 1657, Isobel 1659 baptised at Ceres. vi. Margaret, b. Abt. 1617, Radernie; m. (1) David Peibles, 23 Aug 1639, Ceres; m (2) David Carstairs 4 July 1643 proclaimed in the Parish of Elie and Ceres. Margaret had 7 Carstairs children baptised in the newly proclaimed parish of Elie which had been formed from part of the old parish of Kilconquer in 1639. Notify Administrator about this message?
