There was an Alexander Watts who patented land in 1654 along Piscattaway River in what later became Prince Georges County,Maryland. This made him among the first Europeans to visit this frontier. Then in 1704 a James Watts is residing in same area and Daniel Watts Sr. and Jr. are there shortly thereafter.Daniel Watts Sr, apparently a Ship Captain as well. Undoubtedly making trips to the West Indies and back.
Also there was a James and Amy(wife) Coghill at P.G. County in 1704 possibly the son of James Coghill who died at Rappahannock County,Virginia in 1685 who named a son James in his will.
