Dear George, I have just checked Lieut Col. James Traill of Tullochin was never a member of Parliament. I have a descendent of his staying with me this last couple of days and double checked. James was always a professional soldier and a graduate in Divinty from a Dutch University where he spent a year. He was in addition born in Scotland just outside St Andrews. His property in Ireland was granted in lieu of back pay owed him by the Parliamentary Army for his period of service, during the 1640s His father also a Lieut Col James Traill was also an army officer born in Scotland and niether was he ever a member of Parliament regards Elsie
