One of Robert Trail's closest comrades at Delaware was Norton Claypoole. They bought and sold land together and Norton was left a large amount of pork by Robert in his will of 1685. Norton was born at London in 1640 to Sir John Claypool and his wife Mary Angell. Norton arrived at Delaware in 1678 and his brother James Claypoole followed in 1682 with William Penn. There apparently still exists numerous correspondence between Norton and his brother James while Norton was at Delaware before James arrived. These letters may mention Robert Trail. They must be located in earnest. The age of your Robert who graduated from University fits in line with age of Norton Claypool.
