Willie Trahan
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 11, 2006 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Willie Trahan, 94, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Southwest Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Maurice.
Reverend O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St, Alphonsus Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include one daughter. Mabel Domingue and her husband, Edward of Lafayette; four sons, Norris Trahan and his wife, Juanita of Duson, John A. Trahan and his wife, Judy of Youngsville, Harry J. Trahan and his wife, Willa Dean and Ray Trahan, all of Lafayette; nineteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; two sisters, Eleanor Trahan and Rena Trahan; and one brother, Adam Trahan and his wife, Zelina.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Breaux Trahan; one daughter, Doris Mire; one son, Andrus Trahan; his parents, Mitchell Trahan and Alice Simon Trahan; one daughter-in-law, Franny Trahan; four sisters, Donatile LeBlanc, Edley Mier, Laura Trahan and Hazel Credeur; and two brothers, Elus Trahan, Sr. and Charles Trahan.
A native and resident of Lafayette Parish, Louisiana, Mr. Trahan was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. He was a member of the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Community in Maurice. Mr. Trahan will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
