Looking for 1850, 1860 census of or parents of: Jacob Trader age 63 born Ohio 1836 listed in the 1900 Indiana census in Tippecanoe County, Perry Township. Father born Virginia, mother born Ohio. Married 41 yrs. Wife Catherine age 62 born Indiana 1838. Father born South Carolina, mother born Virginia. In same household: Thomas Trader 36, born Indiana June 1863. Wife Elaine or Claire?, Daughters: Flossy, 10 Cora, 5 Rose, 2 Maria? Ellis, sister (of Thomas Trader?), b. IN 1869 Dau. Laura Ellis, age 9 Son Rupert or Rufort, age 7 In next household working as a farm laborer: William Trader, b. IN 1876, 24 Believe Flossy Trader married David Neyhard / Neyhardt in 1908. Found in Lafayette Journal Courier Index. Found them in 1910 census in ClayTwp Carroll Co IN and 1920 census in Highland, Lake County, Indiana. Found Jacob Trader in Beaver Twp, Pulaski Co, Indiana in 1880 census with children Thomas Jeff, Martha E., Rachel and William. Births/places consistent with 1900. Found Jacob Trader in Indian Creek Twp, Pulaski Co, Indiana in 1870 census with children Martha E., 9, Thomas J., 7, and Maria, 1. Births/places consistent with 1900. Did not find Jacob Trader in 1860 census where he would have been 24 years old and married to Catherine in 1859. Found a Wm. Trader in Howard Co., IN b. VA Ch: Arthur age 16, Samuel, James, Rachel but no Jacob in household. ============== I had just posted this to other forums and noticed this posting for William Trader in Carroll County Indiana. I did not find William or Thomas J. Trader in 1920 census. Jacob was widower living with son William in 1910 census of Carroll Co Indiana. William's wife Edith's grandfather Stevens was also living with them. Do you have more info on Jacob? Notify Administrator about this message?
