While on a trip to Arkansas, My husband and I came a Confederate Civil War Monument in Batesville, Independence county, Arkansas. It sits on the lawn of the old county courthouse.Engraved are the names of the Captains of the units from Independence county. In the list of names is that of Cpt. Justus Tracey of the 8th infantry.
