1. JOHN1 TOWSON was born circa 1746 in Baltimore County, Maryland. He married Penelope Buck, daughter of John Buck and Susannah Mead, on 29 Dec 1771 in St. John's Parish, Baltimore County, Maryland. He died on 17 Sep 1832 in Baltimore County, Maryland. He was buried in Mt. Paran Presbyterian Church Graveyard, Baltimore County, Maryland.
PENELOPE BUCK was born circa 1753. She died on 28 Jul 1794 in Baltimore County, Maryland. She was buried in Mt. Paran Presbyterian Church Graveyard, Baltimore County, Maryland.
The four known children of John1 Towson and Penelope Buck were as follows:

3 ii. WILLIAM TOWSON was born circa 1777. He died on 10 Nov 1834.

5 iv. JOHNZEE TOWSON was born in 1780. He died on 12 Sep 1802. He was buried in Mt. Paran Presbyterian Church Graveyard, Baltimore County, Maryland.

2. ELIZABETH2 TOWSON (John1) was born circa 1775 in Baltimore County, Maryland. She married Isaiah Odell, son of John Odell and Providence Baker. She died on 14 Dec 1843 in Baltimore County, Maryland.
ISAIAH ODELL was born circa 1763 in Baltimore County, Maryland. He died on 20 Mar 1847 in Baltimore County, Maryland.

6 i. MATILDA ODELL was born circa 1797. She married Nicholas Worthington.
7 ii. PROVIDENCE ANN ODELL was born on 26 Feb 1800 in Baltimore County, Maryland. She married Lemuel Ward Gosnell on 3 Feb 1820 in Baltimore County, Maryland. She died on 6 Apr 1833 in Baltimore, Baltimore County, Maryland, at age 33.
8 iii. PENELOPE ODELL was born circa 1804. She married Charles R. Dimmit. She died on 3 Apr 1840.
9 iv. THOMAS TOWSON ODELL married Katherine Conway Settle.

4. THOMAS2 TOWSON (John1) was born in 1779. He married Eleanor Norman. He died on 16 Oct 1861 in Stafford County, Virginia. He was buried in Edge Hill Cemetery, Stafford County, Virginia.
ELEANOR NORMAN was born in 1782. She died on 6 Nov 1848.

14 ii. BABY GIRL TOWSON. She died on 27 Dec 1809. She was buried in Mt. Paran Presbyterian Church Graveyard, Baltimore County, Maryland.
15 iii. BABY GIRL TOWSON. She died on 27 Dec 1809. She was buried in Mt. Paran Presbyterian Church Graveyard, Baltimore County, Maryland.
16 iv. JOHNZEE M. TOWSON was born on 1 Jul 1811. He died on 27 Dec 1812 at age 1. He was buried in Mt. Paran Presbyterian Church Graveyard, Baltimore County, Maryland.
17 v. THOMAS TOWSON was born on 3 Feb 1813. He died on 3 Jan 1816 at age 2. He was buried in Mt. Paran Presbyterian Church Graveyard, Baltimore County, Maryland.
18 vi. MATTHEW TOWSON was born on 26 May 1814. He died on 22 Jul 1825 at age 11. He was buried in Edge Hill Cemetery, Stafford County, Virginia; "sacrificed his life on the 22nd July, 1825, in nobly attempting to save a servant boy from a watery grave."
19 vii. NORMAN TOWSON was born in 1815. He died on 6 Oct 1816. He was buried in Mt. Paran Presbyterian Church Graveyard, Baltimore County, Maryland.
20 viii. JANE E. TOWSON married 1834 Joseph Blackwell Smith.
21 ix. VIRGINIA TOWSON married 1864 William Smith.
22 x. THOMAS NORMAN TOWSON was born on 18 Oct 1822. He married 1843 Mary Frances Smith. He died on 6 Feb 1863 at age 40. He was buried in Mt. Paran Presbyterian Church Graveyard, Baltimore County, Maryland.
