Thomas Townsend's Bond to S. Holland Esq.
Know all men by these presents.I, Thos. Townsend and I, Henry Sexton, all of the County of Henry and State of Tennissee are held and firmly bound to S. Holland Esq. Chairman of said County in the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars of good and lawful money of the United States to be paid to the said S. Holland or his Attorney, heirs, executors and administrators or assignsto which payment well and truly to be made.We bind ourselves, heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 6th day of September 1826.
The condition of the above obligation is such for and in consideration of the sum of seventy five dollars that the above bound Townsend hath taken Adam Chrosnoe a P_R__s for term on one year for which he is to feed and cloth him decently an good wholesome diet and take good care of him then the above obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force and effect given under our hands and seals the day and date above written.
