Hi Mary, I don't descend from Jasper Newton, or his father Joseph Townzen, but from another Townzen line in the Henry co/Stewart Co TN area. I do believe that Thomas and Joseph are probably brothers - I say probably because I don't have any particular document that states it in so many words. But I do NOT believe that they are the sons of John Townzen SR as stated by another researcher. The main reason for this is that John Townzen only had THREE sons - not four as claimed by the other researcher. And unlike that researcher, who refuses to tell me what proof he has, I will be more than glad to tell you exactly what information I have for any statements I make, if anyone just asks.
