TOWNSLEYs from Yorkshire, Eng. & Canada
Hello,
If there is anyone out there who is researching their Townsley family in either Canada (most probably either B.C. or Toronto)or a connection back in Yorkshire, England, could they look at this message carefully.
My cousins and I are looking for any connections back to our ancestor, Thomas Townsley, born in the mid 1700s.Thomas was married to a Mary Beave-r/n/s.There were four sons that we know of to date; William, James, John, and Benjamin.Looking at the family history these names are repeated down the family tree.We believe that the children, grandchildren, great grand children, etc, of John Townsley (who possibly married a Hannah Stockdale), are, or were out in the Toronto area of Canada.
Benjamin's children were brought up in Yorkshire. Some of them stayed in England and others moved out to British Columbia in Canada.
Some of Thomas Townsley's children may have gone to America too.
So, if these names appear and re-appear on your family tree and if there is a final link back to Yorkshire, England, please be in touch.
Many thanks - look forward to hearing from you.Together we might be able to complete the history further!
Kind Regards,
Sarah Reay (Northumberland, England).
