Hi Scott,

I am interested in the Townsends that came from Va. to Maryland and maybe they are the same as your line.
In about 1810 (maybe a bit earlier) Thomas B. Daffin was the executor of John Townsend's Will, of Caroline Co., Md. In 1814 Thomas's brother Joseph Green Daffin married Ann Townsend.
There was a Benjamin Townsend who came for a while to Talbot Co., Md. from Va. and I have found James, Benjamin and John Townsend in Caroline Co., Md. in the 1800 Census.
Do you have any more information regarding these Townsends in Maryland? I am researching the Daffin family line and have been against a brick wall concerning the marriage of Joseph G. Daffin and Ann Townsend in 1814. It may solve many questions. They were married in Norfolk, Va., but I don't believe they were there very long.
