David H. Towns was named a s/o Bartlett Towns in Greene Co., Ga. 1812=will of Bartlett Towns (on Georgia Gen Web) shows that he is not named in Bartlett's will.
He is shown as a son in guardianship papers, so may have been a posthumous birth of Bartlett? Also, I have found in my notes, a notice that a Arnold or Almond Hollis rec'd. $200 as his part of legacy by intermarriage with Lucy L. Towns, by Marlin Towns, Exor. of Bartlett Towns estate. I don't have a date so just ran across it and wrote it down.
Is this same Bartlett? He names his wife as Polly, not Sarah or a Sally, but a Polly, unless the original records transcribed wrongly.
