You are my 'missing' link!!! I have my grandfather's handwritten story of my Ggrandfather's family loading up the covered wagon & moving west, and leaving one son behind. You must be a descendent of the son left behind. I am totally interested in hearing what you have collected on the TOWNS family. I have never been able to confirm whom were the parents of James Daniel, and now it seems I may have some information. What sources do you have to confirm your information? Do you have a family Bible? Also, I am interested in attending the next TOWNS family reunion. Could you please let me know when one's scheduled? My GGrandfather was James Daniel Towns, my Grandfather was David Henry Towns and my father was Thomas Gideon Towns, by the way. I have 2 brothers but neither have had sons, so the TOWNS name stops with our branch. My father has only a sister and her children do not carry the Towns name.
