Matthew,
I'll e-mail you directly with more information if you think I'm on the right track with your wife's line. I have these individuals in my files:
Peter Tatum Towns, b. Jun 1829 in Houston Co., GA, d. bet. 1910-1920 in Telfair Co., GA, m. Eliza Jane Livingston on 5 May 1853 in Telfair Co.
one of their sons:
Major Belvin Towns, b. 7 Sep 1871 in Telfair Co., d. 14 Aug 1943 in Telfair Co., m. Arabelle Miller on 21 Oct 1894 in Telfair Co.
one of their sons:
Rev. James Clayton Towns, b. 26 Dec 1901 in Scotland, Telfair Co., d. 12 Apr 1972 inMcRae, Telfair Co., m. Lillian S. (Last Name Unknown), b. 28 Apr 1893 in prob. GA, d. 27 Jan 1988 in McRae, Telfair Co.
I don't have any children listed for the above Rev. Towns and his wife, Lillian S.Is this the correct family? If it is, I would love to have the information on their family.
Peter Tatum and Eliza Jane Towns did have a son named Lewis W. Towns who married Martha Anderson but, to my knowledge, they didn't have a son named James Clayton Towns.
I have cemetery photos of the tombstones of Major Belvin Towns and his wife, Arabelle Miller Towns, if you want me to send them.I think that Peter Tatum and Eliza Jane are buried in unmarked graves in the same cemetery, the Livingston Family Cemetery near Towns, Telfair Co., GA.
You may e-mail me directly at [email protected]
