Just a note to 'clear the record' on the John Towns situation. Far from being banned, it turns out that John was clubbed over the head at Morden, Man. (mid 1880's), tossed in a boxcar for dead, found in Omaha, Nebraska with complete amnesia, nursed back to reasonable health, moved to Canon city, Colorado, died there and buried at Kit Carson, Colorado. Through sheer chance, son William Thomas Towns learned of his whereabouts, moved from Dauphin, Manitoba to Colorado, lived near his dad on 320 acres of land and had 16 children, only one of whom is still alive. Don't know how the abusive drinker family story arose historically, but want to apologize to all descendants for repeating it here. This man suffered terribly in losing his memory, his wife and basically his family for about 15 years or so. He wife thought he was dead and had remarried, so his adult story is truly tragic.
Descendants are in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Canada.
May he rest in peace.

Gerald Towns, Ottawa, Canada.
