Well Harry, yes I did receive a reply from John but, it did not clear up my confusion at the time. However, I am a bit more clear on the family and just recently discovered that my Daniel is the son of James. Now I need to figure out which James. I am pretty sure it was the one who married Eliza Strickland because in his will he mentions his children and Daniel is among them. I don't have the dates off the top of my head at the moment.
I am in the process of organizing my notes on this line and that is how I found the info. sitting there the whole time!
Ok so, your Hardy is brother to Gideon, son of Richard and Joyce and Nephew to my Daniel and 1st cousin to my Richard? Follow? I hope so. In which case then we descend from the same James, I don't suppose you happen to have that info., do you? I am sorry for rambling it is late and I need to go to sleep. More soon.
Stephanie
