In follow-up to my previous post, Rev. Henry Townend, rector of Lifton, had a son Rev. Henry Chester Townend, born 17 Jan 1842, who was vicar of Loddiswell with Buckland-Tout-Sants, Devon from 1867-1883. He then was vicar at Swepstone-cum-Sanarestone, Leicestershire from 1883-1890. He died 26 Apr. 1890. He married Margaret Fortesque Osmond ca. 1867 and they had 11 children, including 5 sons: Henry, George, Frederick, Arthur, and Charles.
