I know it's a long shot but I am looking for death information on Joseph E.Town, somewhere in England (I think) after 1940. Acording to family history Joseph was born 16 Apr 1865 in Endenboro, Scotland and adopted by an English family by the name of Town. Joseph came to America at the age of 17, married in 1891 to Effie Flye of Porter, Me.
Children of Joseph and Effie were:
Joseph E Town, Jr, born 08 Jul 1891 in Danvers, Ma; died 1961;
William Harold Towne, born 10 Sep 1893 in Danvers, Ma; died 18 Oct 1918 in Peabody, Ma.
George Percy Town, born 23 Apr 1895 in Danvers, Ma; died 22 May 1953.
Ernest Town, born 09 Sep 1896 in Danvers, Ma; died 27 Jul 1950 in Boston, Ma.
Helen Town, born 12 May 1900 in Danvers, Ma; died Jun 1958.
Charles Almon Towne, born 16 Jul 1901 in Danvers, Ma; died 02 Apr 1938.
Henry Arthur Town, born 31 May 1905 in Danvers, Ma; died 27 Jan 1939 in Green Forest, Ark.
Effie Mae Town, born 08 Jul 1908 in Danvers, Ma; died 04 Jan 1951 at home in, Lynn, Ma.
Thomas A Town, born 16 May 1911 in Danvers, Ma; died 12 Sep 1911 in Danvers, Ma.
Effie Flye died in 1911 after childbirth and we were told Joseph was so distraut, left his other children here with their grandparents and went back to England. He was last heard from in the late 30s or early 40s. I would like to know more about him, where he is buried and when he died. If anyone can help I would apreaciate it.
