I was reading your reply regarding Mary Towles, Ga - that she was your gr-grandmother. Do you know a date of birth? I am great, great granddaughter of Charlie T. Cotten who I believe married a Mary A. Towles from Georgia. His grave was moved from a cemetary called Haw Ridge when the Army base Ft. Rucker was being established. It is now at Ebenezer Church Cemetary in Ozark, AL. I was there yesterday, and was told my an aunt that all of the grave located in the area where my grandfather was were moved there too because they were all related to the Cottens. The other graves were mostly Towles. There was a Mary A. (11/22/1831-10/20/1907), Martha A. Towles wife of W.N.Towles Sept. 1820-1874. William N. Towles 6/5/1816-11/11/1886; Mary A. Cotten (I think this was a Mary A. Towles), 9/28/1832-1/22/1910. Do any of these ring a bell with you?
