I am researching the Tovey family.
James Tovey came to Lanark County (near Ottawa) Ontario around 1830. He was a Catholic from Owning, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland. He married Mary Hogan in 1838. They had 7 children.
Some of James' cousins went to Illinois, Pennsylvannia, and Missouri about 1850.
I would like to hear from anyone who is researching the Tovey family and may have information for me.
