I found Abraham (Abram) Tourtelotte's will in Glocester, RI, dated 19 Nov 1757. Eleven children and one grand-child are named. Hope this makes a connection for someone. My BIG question is, who is "Welthan" cited as his true and well-beloved wife????? I have him married to Lydia Ballard. Anyone know who Welthan is or what happened to Lydia Ballard?

Glocester, RI; Wills & Inventories, Vol 1, p 227+; The will of Abraham Tourtelotte, dated 19 Nov 1757:
To son Abraham, 10 shillings old term..."the reason that I give him no more at this time is that I have given a suitable portion of my estate in time past"
To son Jonathan, 10 shillings & for the same reason as above.
To son Benjamin, 170 acres of land of which I own one-half portion with Stephen Hopkins...lying at a place called Wolf Hill in Glocester.
To grand-daughter Mary Mitchell, £60.
To daughter Lydia Knowlton, £50.
To daughter Esther Dunn, £6.
***To daughter Sarah Inman, 10 shillings.
To daughter Anne Tourtelotte, 2 best feather beds, coverlets, blankets, one silver porrenger and one silver spoon, all her mother's and grandmother Tourtelotte's clothes, 20 weight sheep's wool, 20 weight good flax.
To son William, 50 acres of the southeast part of my homestead, to take possession at the age of 21 years.
To son Jesse, 50 acres in the southeast part of my homestead, to take possession at the age of 21 years.
To son Daniel, 50 acres adjoining Jesse's, to take possession at the age of 21 years.
To son Stephen, all not before given away, to take possession at the age of 21 years.
I give to my true and well-beloved wife Welthan (??sp., hard to read)...misc.
The old tenor money given away by this will is intended to be paid & valued after the rate of £6 for one ounce of silver.
