Looking for info on Touchet family.

I don't know that I can make a connection for you but I have some Touchet in my ancestery. The first generation that I have is Guillaume Touchet who came to Canada (Québec) from France, no dates.
Then, I have his son, René,married in 1746 in St. Laurent, Québec.
Next comes Jean-Baptiste married in 1770.
Joseph-Norbert is the 4th generation, married 1800 in St. Eustache, Québec.
And another Joseph-Norbert Touchette, married 1827 also in St.Eustache, Québec.
Then, my great grandfather, Magloire Touchet changed the spelling to Touchette. He emigrated to Manitoba, Canada with his family, and later they went back to Québec. My grandfather then returned to Manitoba as a young married man.The family kept in touch with the Québec relatives and my mother who is turning 90 this year says that she remembers a cousin in Québec who went to the States in search of work. She also remembers that he changed his name to an English pronunciation - Tucket, is the way she pronounces it, but it could well be Tocket.
I hope that this can be of some help to you.Perhaps you will find something in Québec.
I do have a bit more information (wives' names) if you are interested.
