I am searching for my Toth family ancestry. If anyone can add to the information below please email me.
My Great Grandfather was LOUIS ALBERT TOTH Sr. (born in Hungary 2/2/1895 and died at Eloise in Wayne County, Michigan on 9/15/1950). He married Rose Kormos about 1921 in Michigan and they had 2 children (Steve Toth & Louis Albert Toth Jr.) Louis & Rose divorced and she married a second time to Robert Trostle (no children).
I'm looking for information on LOUIS ALBERT TOTH SR.'s relatives.....In particular anything about his parents, grandparents or siblings.
This much I know, but it's limited to primarily family stories rather than documented data:
His parents were Andy Toth & Julia Toro (taken from his death certificate).
His siblings were Albert Toth (older brother), Jimmie Toth (younger brother), Piroska Toth (younger sister).
I know his brother Albert was living in Chicago for a while. However, I don't know if any of his other relatives ever lived in the USA. The names for his parents lead me to believe they must have been in the USA at some point because of the Americanized listing of "Andy Toth" on Louis' death certificate.
I've tried researching through ancestry.com, census documents, ship records and various other methods, but I've come to a hault.
If there is anyone out there that thinks they may have a link to the puzzle please contact me....I would love to know more about the family, and what part of Hungary they came from.
PS: Rose's parents were Steve Kormos & Emerence Turcsak from Sarud Hungary. When Steve Kormos first came to the USA (in 1905), he first lived with a brother-in-law Istvan Toth in Skenectady, NY.....this Toth connection baffles me too but I thought I would throw it out there in case anyone makes a connection.
