I think I have a tie-in although it might be for Derastus Torrey's son. I've run across "Derastus" and "Erastus" as a first name, but it's such an unusual name that I'm sure he fits in somewhere. I know that he was related to Noah and Abigal Torrey.
He was a big farmer in Kenosha, Wisconsin (1864-1879)running the Truesdell Dairy Farms (largest in the State of Wisconsin)for Gideon Truesdell (1811-1882) His wife was Julia Ann Torrey.
According to a Kenosha County history Derastus Torrey was born in Centerville, New York on 11 January 1820, married Jane Knowlton on 3 June 1845, and had three children. A.E. Torrey (DOB 11/3/1847), Herbert C. Torrey (DOB 5/1/1857), and Allen J. Torrey (DOB 1/3/1861).
After 1879 we don't know what became of the family, but I have an extensive Torrey genealogy from Michigan State University. Gideon and Julia Truesdell's niece, Julia Moore, married Mr. Truesdell's bookkeeper (Truesdell Lumber Company)and he (Charles Hackley)bought two of the mills from his employer. The Hackley philantrophies have distributed around $480 million in the last 100-years, and Michigan State has the Hackley papers. Julia Moore Hackley's mother was a Torrey.

Hope this helps,

Rich
