But unless your Juan Domingo Torres' son, Juan Bautista Torres, disappears from New Mexico in the 1850s, we're likely not related.

I've been searching for the parents and siblings of my great-great grandfather, Juan Bautista Torres, for almost two decades now. He was born in New Mexico, likely between 1833 and 1841, and ended up in California where he married in 1859.

I've found scant information about them (e.g., father: "Juan", mother: "Maria") and only recently found a Juan Bautista that might fit the bill on Sam Quito Padilla's "Rio Abajo Database" on RootsWeb. Thus, I posted the message yesterday which you saw on GenForum.
