I recently purchased an old photo showing the subject couple, identified on its back as "Mr & Mrs Torres Dewey, Okla." I found them in the 1920 U.S. Census, residing in Dewey, Oklahoma. Joe, age 38, was born in Mexico, and his wife, Masheda, age 29, was born in Kansas. They had five children--Jose, age 17; Lorenzo, age 11; Victor M., age 10; Ramon D., age 7; and Anna J., age 5. The three eldest children were evidently born to Joe and a previous Mexican wife, name unknown. Joe and Jose were employed as cement plant laborers.
I would like to find a descendent who would be grateful to receive this photo. Contact me if you are interested in viewing it.
