Hello, I'm Debi Hughes. I am a descendant of Hugh,1732. I have a substantial amount of research for descendents from Gaston, Rutherford, Union, and old Lincoln and Tryon Counties from the Hugh,1732 line. As a result of health issues, It has been quite some time since I have worked on my research (since 2001). Better now, I'm dusting off the boxes and I am ready to renter the arena of late nights, endless questions, and many more miles to travel. We know that this is no short quest. All of this regained inspiration from one simple question, from one curious grandchild who wanted to know why his biddie liked his red hair so much. Of course, I had to give him a complete dissertation about his lineage and why he could be proud of it. Partly, I believe that is why some of us are so driven to record the past. It is a passionate gift for those to come. So, it is not a job but rather a gift I must complete for anyone who wishes to learn more of our family. My Warmest Regards, Debi
