Hello, I have some information that may help. My grandmother, Sophia Antoinette Watson, was the daughter of Mary Antoinette Torano Watson and Robert Burgess Watson, both of Key West, FL. Mary Torano was the daughter of Jose Torano of Spain and Amelia (no maiden name) Torano of Key West.

I would appreciate any other information on Jose Torano, Sr. Here is what I have. He was born around 1842. I know he was a cigarmaker who apparently left Spain with his two brothers in the 1860s. I believe one brother went to the Tampa area and another went to Cuba while he went to Key West. He had the following children: Jose, Jr. (born around 1869), Amelia (born around 1873), Mary (born in 1875), another son (born in 1879) and Rita (born in 1884). I would especially like to know the names of Jose, Sr.'s brothers and where they were from in Spain.
