I would like to add some information.
Our John Topping was born in England about 1814, he married Margaret "Peggy Ann" Moore.
They lived in Cabell Co, Wayne Co and Lincoln Co.,VA/WV.
Some of their descendants were found in Boone and Logan Co., WV.
Some descendants lived in Lawrence Co., Ohio.

On census, birth and death records we have found the surname was spelled Topping, Toppings, Toppins and Toppin.

If anyone decends from John and Margaret (Moore) Topping, Toppings, Toppins, or Toppin, we are looking for information to write a book and we hope you will share your info and have your family line included.

We have a list of all the children of John and Margaret. They had a large family, so there's a lot of descendants.

We are trying to connect to some other Topping families that lived in Cabell and Wayne Co at the same time. It's possible there is a connection. Maybe John came from England with some brothers.

Thank you, Patricia (Toppins) Reed
