I am trying to locate the date and place of death of Maria Magdalena Duchmann. Maria Magdalena and husband, Georg Geier/Ge˙er, had at least seven children born between 1793 and 1808. Five of these children appear in the civil records of Niedermodern, Bas-Rhin. One other child was reputedly born in Niedermodern, but does not appear in the records there. The seventh child that I have records for was born in Pfaffenhoffen, Bas-Rhin. Georg Geier/Ge˙er died in Niedermodern in 1809. Many of Maria Magdalena Duchmann's descendants remained in Niedermodern until the end of the 19th century, but I have not found a death record for her in Niedermodern from 1808 to 1862 under either the surnames Duchmann or Geier/Ge˙er. It is possible that she remarried and that her death record is listed under a different surname, in which case, I might have missed the information. Any information on Maria Magdalena Duchmann's death date and place of death would be appreciated.
