Tombstone Find, Philadelphia, 1885-1948

Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Penna. I was walking away from my Mother's parents' and my parents' gravesite when I saw a tombstone never knew was in the area. I don't remember my Dad ever showing it to me, and he should have known about it; why he should have is another story.To the best of my knowledge, they are not relatives of mine. The cemetery office provided me this data. Perhaps it is a link for some of you.

Jeremiah Sr., b 1878, d 7-1953;
Theresa b 1885, d 8-1953; Hugh b 1881, d 1944; Michael b 1911, d 1948;
Jeremiah Jr., b 1921 d Feb 8 1944.
The gravestone was a military stone for Jeremiah Jr. stating he was a sergeant in the 17th Armored Infantry Bn. Office records show that the residence of all the deceased was 2017 N. Bambrey St. which is over near the Philadelphia Zoo. However current maps of Today show that no "2000" block of N. Bambrey can exist today, and I have no way of getting over to that area of the city to check it out. Homes may have been there at one time, and the area redeveloped, I don't know.
