Just want to express my thanks on their "legwork" to all the researchers posting on genforum re: McCardle/Toole family. Because of you I am now able to know a great deal of my genealogy.
Living far away in Massachusetts I would have thought it was impossible for me to know about my southern ancestors, but as of yesterday I can trace back from my grandfather, George Washington Whitfield, to his mother, Georgia Ann Virginia Toole, to Henry W. Toole and Hester Ann Mary to James McCardle to John McCardle to Cornelius McCardle. Wow!! So to all my newly found, distant cousins, wherever you may be, "Hello!" You have a "northern" cousin who's never gone completely "yankee".
