If this is the Judith Futch mentioned in the will of David Tool [sic] dated September 30, 1822, in Dallas County, AL, [will book A pp 6-7], then I may have additional information about her. The will was witnessed by Thomas N. Gardner, Jesse Garrett, and Henry Moss. (The first two people figure indirectly in my own ancestry. Jesse Garrett had a daughter named Rebecca, who married the other man mentioned, Thomas N. Gardner. When he died, she married James Cave, my ancestor, and they moved to DeKalb County, AL, where they appear on the 1850 census.) In that same census, Jesse Garrette [sic], age 70, born in NC, is shown with a wife named Judah, age 47, born in GA. I do not know if there is a marriage record, but I suspect that the Judah mentioned is Judith Toole Futch. Does anyone have information to confirm or refute this notion?
